United Beverages Rolls Out Mobile Sales Solution from Rococo Software and O2
Dublin, Ireland - December 13, 2004
Dublin-based Rococo Software and O2 Ireland worked together to put Rococo's mobile sales software solution into action for United Beverages, the largest wholesale drinks distributor in Ireland. United Beverages uses the software solution to deliver real-time sales and customer information to travelling sales representatives.
"We deployed a mobile order capture solution to provide our sales force with immediate access to customers' orders, stock information and other key data. Additionally, a mobility solution has the added benefit of creating more selling time by simplifying the order process," said Mike Sheehy, IS Manager at United Beverages.
The mobile order capture solution is used by over 40 United Beverages' sales representatives working across Ireland from a network of seven depots. The reps use Rococo's software to collect sales orders, receive stock notifications, access journey planning information, track customer visit data, and record special instructions on orders while they are on the road. MobileFrontier provides seamless integration with United Beverages' back-end ERP system, which means the full order process is supported on the road without intervention by head-office staff.

MobileFrontier runs on O2's handheld device, the O2 xda II, and uses O2's data network to relay sales information between sales reps and depots. Rococo and O2 worked closely during the customisation process to design a tailored network and security system for United Beverages.
